A SIMPLE FIELD GUIDE FOR THE REARING OF TILAPIA IN PONDS

In the late 80's, we used this nice flip-chart in the FAO project for the developmentof rural fish farming in Congo Brazzaville. We got the flip-chart from a similar project, working on the other side of the Congo River, in the former Zaire. Working with this flip-chart was easy and successful due to it's excellent design and simplicity .This series of pictures on family fish farming were made by Geoffrey Brown and entirely hand-coloured by students in the Mayombe region during their school vacation.

The flip-chart was originally prepared at the "Center pour la promotion de la santé" of Kangu-Mayumbe (Zaire) with grateful acknowledgments to the 'Project Pisciculture Familiale du Département du Développement Rural et de l'Agriculture', to the 'Département de la Santé Publique' of Zaire, to USAID, to SOS FAIM, to Fometro and to AGCD.

The copyright of the flip-chart is owned by the 'Bureau d'Etudes et de Recherches pour la Promotion de la Santé' in Kangu Mayumbe and by the Project Pisciculture Familiale in Kinshasa. All users should respect/acknowledge the original rights and the flip chart should not be distributed commercially.
